Staff: Principal ScientistsJanis Blainer-Fleming, HydrologistQualifications at a Glance » 26 years of experience Specialty areas: Regional hydrogeologic characterization, field investigations, and mining hydrology Profile In addition to her well-rounded skills as a hydrologist, Janis specializes in analyzing satellite images to characterize historical and current environmental conditions and assess changes over time. Her skills have been especially valuable for projects located in remote regions of South America, where field data are typically sparse. Janis also has extensive field experience; she has designed, installed, and tested production, injection, extraction, and monitor wells for a wide variety of water resource and environmental investigations. Another area of her interest and expertise is characterizing lithologic conditions in saturated and unsaturated media.
