Profile
Leslie
joined M&A in 1989 after stints with Pima County and the City of Tucson.
A major focus of her work here has been combining traditional and innovative
strategies to remediate contaminated sites; for example, at one Superfund
site, she was part of a technical team that designed and implemented a
pilot study using in-situ oxidation methods to remediate volatile organic
compounds. She has also led modeling investigations to develop and optimize
remediation strategies. In addition to providing technical support for
various Superfund sites, Leslie has worked on many projects that involve
characterizing the complex relationship between surface water and groundwater,
from both the legal and scientific standpoint.
