Specialty areas: Water supply development, environmental monitoring
and assessment, and mining hydrology
Profile
As
an M&A team member for nearly 20 years, Dan has applied his project
management skills, expertise in aquifer hydraulics, and knowledge of hydrochemistry
to a variety of challenging projects. To solve complex problems, he relies
on his extensive experience in groundwater flow modeling along with an
arsenal of tools such as aquifer mechanics and stable isotope analysis.
One of Dan’s unique areas of expertise is designing data-acquisition
systems to monitor flow rates, water levels, soil moisture, climate variables,
and other hydrogeometric parameters. He often integrates these systems
into databases, GIS solutions, or real-time displays. Dan’s work
in the area of mining hydrology has included projects in Chile and Spain.
Before joining M&A, Dan worked on warm-water fisheries projects for
the Peace Corps in Morocco, North Africa.
