Certificate of Recognition presented to Dr. Errol Montgomery by Tucson

Tucson, Arizona – September 27, 2001 – On September 27, Tucson
Mayor Bob Walkup presented a Certificate of Recognition “in appreciation
of expertise in the field of hydrogeology” to Dr. Errol L. Montgomery,
president of the Tucson-based groundwater consulting firm Errol L. Montgomery
& Associates, Inc. During a presentation ceremony attended by City
of Tucson government and water utility representatives, the Mayor noted
that Dr. Montgomery’s contributions in the academic arena, leadership
in technical areas affecting the Tucson community, and personal integrity
have distinguished him as “an exemplary role model for all.”
Dr. Montgomery has been active in the academic and consulting fields
of hydrology, geophysics, and engineering geology for nearly 40 years.
He holds a Doctorate in Hydrogeology and Geophysics from the University
of Arizona, is a Registered Professional Geologist in several states,
and has authored more than 35 technical papers covering a range of hydrogeologic
topics. Recipient of National Defense Act and Fulbright Fellowships, Dr.
Montgomery was a professor in the Geology Department at Northern Arizona
University from 1970 through 1977, before moving to Tucson to launch his
career as a groundwater consultant. Through the leadership of Dr. Montgomery,
the consulting firm of Errol L. Montgomery & Associates, Inc. has
become a recognized leader in groundwater investigations in the southwestern
United States and in many foreign countries.
