Specialty areas: Groundwater flow and contaminant-transport modeling, remedial design and assessment
Profile
Jon’s groundwater modeling skills are essential to many of our water supply and environmental projects, including those with a remedial design component. One typical environmental application entails developing groundwater flow and contaminant transport simulations to evaluate capture and cleanup for various extraction scenarios. Jon has also used flow and transport models to assess the potential for monitored natural attenuation at various sites in Arizona and California. Where critical interactions between surface water and groundwater systems occur, he has successfully developed models to simulate potential impacts from existing or planned pumping, providing valuable data for long-term water resource management.
