Automated Vadose Zone Monitoring

Now you can manage waste material processes based on critical, real-time data.

Cover system monitoring
Stored waste — from landfills, nuclear facilities, or mines — must be maintained in a dry and/or anoxic environment to avoid leakage, oxidation, or chemical degradation. M&A can install sensors to accurately detect water or air leakage and monitor for chemical activity. We have applied a variety of sensors to monitor internal heap conditions at depths ranging from near land surface to hundreds of feet. Data can be stored for later recovery or delivered directly to management’s desk.

Heap leach monitoring
Fine-tuning oxidation rates in leach heaps is essential for optimizing ore recovery. M&A has developed technology for continuously monitoring temperature, pore-space oxygen, and solution levels. These instruments provide the best available real-time data for managing irrigation rates and/or air injection systems.

Monitoring technology and data collection
We collect and store sensor data using powerful, reliable dataloggers, and transfer it to you at regular intervals or on demand, via cell phone, radio, or satellite. We can also download data manually for simple installations.
